Simplify to one trigonometric expression 4 sin( pi/ 8 ) cos(pi/8 )

### Video Transcript

Okay, so looking at this function, is there any way I could simplify this into one function? Well this kind of looks like my double angle formula for sine which is two times sine of theta times Cosine of theta. But you may say, okay I know that Sine and Cosine of the same angle, but I'm multiplying by four. Not too well for the same thing as two times two times sine of pi over eight times. Cosine of pi over eight. So what I can do just leave one of the tools out of it. This will be equivalent to just sign up to times where my angle was pi over eight And I'm just going to bring down this other two simplifying this two times pi over eight. I can divide by two. This is the same as sine of pi over two times Sine of pi over four, which is one trick expression.
